The Train/Trax Operator position at the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transit services. As a Train/Trax Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating trains and ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate trains and ensure passenger safety.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and monitor train systems.
  • Communicate with dispatch and respond to emergencies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for passengers.
  • Engage with the community and provide assistance to riders.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet schedules.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in public transportation or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
