About the position
The Trained Medical Interpreter at Valley Health Partners provides essential foreign language interpreting services to facilitate understanding and communication between individuals with limited English proficiency (LEP) and clinic staff. This role is crucial in assisting clinic staff by enabling effective cross-cultural communication for non-English speaking patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Provide foreign language interpreting services for patients and staff.
- Facilitate communication between non-English speaking patients and healthcare providers.
- Assist in cross-cultural communication to enhance patient understanding and care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of experience in human or health services.
Nice-to-haves
- More than 6 months of experience in human or health services.
