About the position

The Trainee position in Corporate & Central Functions at Sony Pictures Entertainment offers a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in finance. This full-time role, running from January through May 30th, provides meaningful work that enhances skills and prepares candidates for a career in finance. Trainees will work closely with the finance department to support divisional leaders in financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing reports to provide insights.
• Help in preparation and tracking of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for various departments.
• Perform accurate data entry, reconcile accounts, and ensure all transactions are recorded properly.
• Assist in creating presentations and reports to communicate financial performance.
• Assist with financial process improvement initiatives to achieve efficiency and optimize planning to support decision-making.
• Assist the team with various tasks on an ad hoc basis.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, Business or Economics; MBA preferred.
• In-depth experience with enterprise planning systems (eg. SAP, Hyperion, etc.) and business intelligence tools (eg. SAP BW, Power BI, Tableau, Essbase, etc.); experience with SAP S/4 and BW/BPC preferred.
