The Trainee Program at MKTG Sports + Entertainment is a six-month, entry-level, full-time immersive employment opportunity designed for individuals seeking to enter the sports and lifestyle marketing industry. This program offers participants the chance to gain practical industry experience while working closely with the Hospitality & Events team, which provides corporate event and hospitality management services to clients across various industries. The focus of this role is on client hosting programs, particularly those surrounding sporting and entertainment events. As a Trainee, you will play a crucial role in developing various components involved in producing in-person events for corporate clients. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting venue research and developing recommendations for client presentations, supporting hotel and transportation logistics management, proposing food and beverage menus tailored to clientele and enhancing the guest experience, and recommending event gifts, including product sourcing and fulfillment. You will also maintain attendee lists and other important documents, such as status reports and meeting notes, organize and manage client ticket allocations, and develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors. Additionally, you will manage shipping and receiving logistics, reconcile event budgets, and provide general office support. This position may require some travel, including weekend travel, based on account needs. The program is set to start on January 13, 2025, and requires two days on location in Charlotte, NC, along with other days as needed. A full-time, permanent position at the end of the program will be based on performance and position availability. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis, as employment-based visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
