About the position

The Video Content Trainee will assist in all aspects of creating video content for the Kansas City Royals, including shooting events, editing videos, and participating in the creative process. This role is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in media and video production within a professional sports environment.

Responsibilities

  • Produce, shoot and edit video content for the Kansas City Royals across various platforms including social media, in-stadium, and television.
  • Capture events, interviews, and game footage for editing.
  • Act as Production Assistant or Grip on large production shoots.
  • Actively participate in the creative development process.
  • Assist in day-to-day production operations.
  • Assist with footage requests and administrative duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with Sony cinema cameras.
  • Advanced knowledge of editing with Adobe Premiere.
  • Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a seated position for the majority of the workday.
  • Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone.
  • Must be able to work in a high noise level environment.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility.
