About the position

The Trainer - Large Store is responsible for identifying the educational needs of employees, developing training programs, and instructing staff to enhance their skills and performance. This role involves planning and delivering sales training, collaborating with supervisors to assess training needs, and ensuring that training aligns with organizational goals. The Trainer also provides resources to motivate personnel and conducts ongoing training and personal development as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the educational needs of employees and develop training programs.
  • Plan, develop, and provide sales training and staff development programs.
  • Work closely with sales department supervisors to identify training needs.
  • Provide materials and resources that motivate personnel to learn.
  • Develop training status reports for management.
  • Analyze training needs to recommend new or improved sales training programs.
  • Conduct or arrange for ongoing training and personal development as needed.
  • Organize training manuals, multimedia aids, and evaluation procedures.
  • Provide remedial driver training as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 21 years old.
  • Class A CDL preferred and compliance with fleet policy.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 1-2 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively in writing and speaking.

Nice-to-haves

  • Beverage and consumer packaged goods experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design.
  • Experience in facilitation of instructor-led and self-paced learning.
