About the position

The Training and Knowledge Manager at Tetra Tech will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's talent development initiatives. This position involves designing and delivering both synchronous and asynchronous training activities while promoting the effective use of knowledge management systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders, including subject matter experts and IT specialists, to create and update training materials, facilitate training sessions, and manage administrative functions within the Learning Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SMEs to develop and refine training materials and job aids, such as templates, forms, manuals, checklists, and how-to guides.
  • Create and modify e-learning activities using instructional design principles and tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate training sessions for employees on topics including supervision skills, performance management, and promoting a respectful workplace.
  • Coordinate the use of internal resources to support training activities.
  • Perform producer functions for virtual training sessions, managing breakout rooms and monitoring chat for Microsoft Teams events.
  • Perform administrative functions within the Learning Management System and knowledge management platforms, including uploading content and running reports.
  • Promote a culture of knowledge-sharing across departments and facilitate contributions to the knowledge base.
  • Support the evaluation of training and learning initiatives.
  • Provide support for other talent development and HR initiatives such as performance management and onboarding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Learning Technologies, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum four years of professional experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience in staff training or learning and development.
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering training.
  • Experience coordinating or communicating across multiple stakeholders in an organization.
  • Experience administering Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience using learning technologies and software applications such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate.
  • Experience managing meetings in videoconferencing software like Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, primarily Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and industry concepts.
  • Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams preferred.
