About the position

The Training and Operations Assistant Manager at Amentum will play a crucial role in supporting the NIWTG team by managing mission scheduling, planning, and operational workflows. This position involves liaising with leadership and staff to ensure effective training policy maintenance and mission support, while also developing strategies for fleet training requirements and operational capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Liaison with NIWTG leadership and contract team in mission scheduling, planning, and tracking of Basic Phase interactions.
  • Assist the government in maintaining training policy, operations, and workflow.
  • Support the government in mission support and End of Mission Report submission.
  • Maintain training and operational schedules, ensuring synchronization with NIWTG policies and mission requirements.
  • Develop Fleet training requirements related to command training and readiness mission.
  • Integrate mission capabilities and collaborate on NIWTG operations.
  • Develop and maintain an IW mission strategy.
  • Brief and debrief mission requirements and results.
  • Review mission documents, presentations, and documentation.
  • Establish instructor training requirements in support of NIWTG mission tasking.

Requirements

  • Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI US Government Clearance.
  • 10+ years demonstrated expertise and management in Information Warfare.
  • 8+ years demonstrated expertise in Naval Cryptology, Intelligence, Communications, and Cyber in support of Surface Naval Training methodologies.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Fleet operational concepts and practices, including the Optimized Fleet Response Plan.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and develop integrating strategies in support of Naval Information Warfare Training Group objectives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of training standards and development.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills for producing finished products and presentations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience with FLTMPS, PMS-MIS, TORIS, TORIS-MSP and familiarity with OFRP process and training.
  • Prior experience with Afloat Training Group, Surface Mine Warfare Developmental Center, NIWTG, or Naval Information Warfare Developmental Center and Instructor Duty.
