About the position

The Training & Competence Lead is responsible for overseeing the delivery of technical training and competence programs within the Operations Americas Business Unit. Based in Houston, TX, this role emphasizes the management of workforce competence, ensuring that technical skills and safety training are assessed, verified, recorded, and reported effectively. The lead will manage a team of advisors to provide operational leaders with insights into their teams' capabilities and address any skill gaps.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and effective delivery of technical training and competence programs across client sites.
• Manage the assessment, verification, recording, and reporting of technical skills and mandatory safety training courses.
• Lead a team of training and competence advisors to support operational leaders.
• Maintain high standards for records related to workforce competence.
• Identify and manage any gaps in workforce capabilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in training and competence management within a technical environment.
• Strong leadership skills to manage a team of advisors effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with operational leaders and stakeholders.
• Ability to assess and verify technical skills and training requirements.
