About the position

The Training Content Developer/Instructional Designer will assist in the training and implementation of the Child Welfare Information System (CWIS). This role focuses on analyzing CWIS functionality to develop and deliver both classroom and eLearning training solutions. The position requires collaboration with various teams to design training materials and facilitate effective learning experiences for employees involved in Child Welfare programs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze CWIS functionality to develop and deliver classroom facilitator-led learning solutions and eLearning courses.
  • Work closely with the Training Lead, Business and Agile Teams, and Development Team to understand training requirements.
  • Design training and develop course materials for adult learners.
  • Develop and maintain Adobe FrameMaker templates and scripts.
  • Maintain and revise training materials for instructional training.
  • Provide effective and creative classroom and virtual facilitation of training sessions.
  • Assist with scheduling and preparing for quality assurance checks on training materials.
  • Evaluate student progress and make recommendations for continued training participation.

Requirements

  • Experience in curriculum design and developing training materials for adult learners.
  • Understanding of social services programs relevant to county, regional, and state staff.
  • Experience working with training developers and subject matter experts to ensure effective training materials.
  • Experience in business analysis and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) technology such as Moodle, XML, or HTML.
  • Experience in designing and delivering computer-based training instructional design.
  • Proficiency in software such as Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Photoshop, and Visio.
  • Experience developing dynamic instructional training materials with interactions and simulations.
  • Experience leading training sessions in various formats including in-person and virtual.
  • Experience providing feedback on learning curriculum and methodology.
