About the position

At Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies, the Training Coordinator for Global Commercial plays a pivotal role in enhancing the capabilities of our global sales and product training initiatives. This position requires an experienced, collaborative, and accountable individual who can work both autonomously and as part of a dynamic global training team. The primary responsibilities include coordinating the planning, delivery, tracking, and measurement of training programs aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of our commercial teams. The Training Coordinator will support project management efforts, develop communication plans, and assist in the design and delivery of training materials. Additionally, this role involves managing a new website platform to ensure that training content is organized, accessible, and effectively delivered to various stakeholders, including clinical specialists, sales associates, and customers. The Training Coordinator will collaborate closely with global trainers to facilitate training delivery for Therapeutic Systems, Cell & Gene Therapy, and Sales Excellence applications. This includes contributing to scalable and trackable training strategies, updating training documents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role also requires maintaining a basic-level competency in assigned applications and developing training tools and assessments to support the onboarding of new associates and distributors. Furthermore, the Training Coordinator will assist in the development of new product launch training and support the annual Training Needs Analysis, ensuring that data is formatted for easy analysis and actionable insights. In addition to these responsibilities, the Training Coordinator will document solutions to recurring training-related issues, assist with clinical trials and human factors studies, and manage various training-related projects. This includes scheduling meetings, capturing critical notes, and ensuring that action items are completed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess a global perspective, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively while maintaining a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and support global trainers with global and regional training delivery for Therapeutic Systems, Cell & Gene Therapy, and Sales Excellence applications.
  • Contribute to scalable, trackable, and accessible training strategies.
  • Support the process of updating various training documents including presentations, eLearning & videos.
  • Familiar with document regulatory and legal approval processes to support quality control and regulatory feedback.
  • Maintain a traceable, basic-level competency in limited assigned applications for TS, CTT and Sales training.
  • Work with global trainers and other departments to develop training tools & assessments for new clinical, implementation, sales specialists, associates, distributors, and customers.
  • Support design and web-based inputs to migrate current training content to a new platform.
  • Assist Global Training Manager with the development of new product launch training.
  • Support development, roll out, and collection of the annual Training Needs Analysis for all commercial associates.
  • Support roll out, implementation, tracking, and maintenance of interactive learning tools for global sales and business teams.
  • Document and provide written solutions to recurring training related problems.
  • Assist global trainers with clinical trials, human factors studies including design, site selection, and monitoring of training outcomes.
  • Provide design input, develop, validate, and implement support tools for troubleshooting and optimization of Terumo BCT products and applications.
  • Manage training related projects, scheduling and leading meetings, capturing critical notes and next steps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, marketing, or clinical training environment.
  • Ability to assess global customer needs, market trends, and competition.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to run and analyze reports from SFDC, Power BI, and internal reporting platforms.
  • Proficient in managing training assets on a Learning Management System (e.g., Success Factors).
  • Ability to diagnose, understand, and solve complex system issues.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate inclusively, effectively, and in a timely fashion.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with modern training platforms and technology.
  • Familiarity with regulatory document environments (e.g., Veeva Vault/TruSource).
