Alstom is hiring a Training Development Manager to support the growing Bid, Project, Planning & Commercial Management Academy. In this role, you will oversee learning & competencies development by defining, designing and creating the global training curriculum for the global Bid & Project Management as well as Commercial communities. The role is key to enable our global communities with the best knowledge of Tender, Project and Commercial Management processes and usage of applications and tools. All aspects of competency and capabilities need to be continuously developed and updated to cover the actual business demand of Alstom operating model. Bid and Project Management competencies are to be defined and developed as per Learning and Development roadmap for the academy to ensure a global approach across Regions and Product Lines.

Responsibilities

  • Main point of contact reporting to the Senior Training Manager for all operational aspects of competence development regarding the global training offer and the Academy digital learning global catalog offer in Alstom University.
  • Continuously develop and update based on defined job competencies, the learning and development strategy to cover growing community and business demand of Alstom operating model.
  • Manage and coordinate the development and deployment of the global training curriculum for the community to complement existing offer on Academy digital page.
  • Align with other function/métiers, Alstom University and HR, across all Regions and Product Lines to ensure a high level of competency development.
  • Based on competency/training gaps and learning orientation roadmap, follow-up training development roadmap with Métiers Owner/Subject Matter Expert to ensure timely delivery of various projects in parallel.
  • Build a strong link between the competency matrixes for each Métiers and the learning curriculum.
  • Identify weak areas and propose corrective actions for training development based on available learning material and yearly competency development gap analysis per métier.
  • Coordinate training definition, design developments including updates/enhancements of training material with Subject Matter Experts and potentially external agencies.
  • Support Request for Proposal process by synthesizing request and following up proposals and selection if external development is needed.
  • Create/Review training material to ensure compliance with objectives and user-friendly digital training experience in partnership with Alstom University for complex developments if internal development is needed.
  • Liaise with Alstom University to ensure timely deployment as per defined training target audience and format.
  • Follow-up on participation and feedback to propose any corrective action.
  • Support all aspects of updates in the Academy page to ensure state of the art training technologies are accessible to the community.
  • Ensure Academy page is up to date, reflecting the latest job roles and available trainings.
  • Maintain academy training overview list with up-to-date information regarding course content, job code allocation, competency level etc.
  • Liaise with function owners to identify and select new trainers based on needs.
  • Onboard, coordinate and animate global training community for bid and project management community trainings and special programs.
  • Support the communication and sharing of updates/best practices and associated tools to community Métiers leaders based on latest news from Alstom University/Other Academies/HR etc.
  • Monitor training quality and participation by following up KPIs, follow-up deployment strategy and training effectiveness and propose corrective actions accordingly.
