About the position

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. The position serves as the EFMP Training, Education and Outreach (TEO) Specialist to deliver and coordinate training and education and develop the EFMP outreach program plan. Work includes delivering and coordinating training for EFMP staff, Marines and their families and coordinating marketing to promote awareness, education and provide resources for the Exceptional Family Member Program.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and coordinate training for EFMP staff, Marines, their families, volunteer personnel and representatives of installation and community services.
  • Develop relationships and partnerships with service providers on the installation and in the surrounding community.
  • Conduct personal interviews with unit and installation commanders, family members, and service activities to obtain data to determine priority of needs.
  • Develop the outreach program plan by promoting awareness and education among Marines and leadership of the EFMP.
  • Perform administrative functions associated with the training, education and outreach program plan.
  • Manage distribution and movement of case information to ensure confidentiality and security.

Requirements

  • Four years of specialized experience in a related field.
  • Skill to conduct needs assessments, interviews, presentations, training sessions and coordinate resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop quality training and maintain effective communication and working relationships.
  • Knowledge of military structure and protocol.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing training materials and conducting educational campaigns.
  • Familiarity with the Exceptional Family Member Program and related support services.
