About the position
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Instructional Methods Training Instructor, performing all training instructor classroom-related activities and supporting curriculum development, modification, and revision efforts in initial skills, advanced, and supplemental training courses. This role is crucial in ensuring that the training programs align with the Flight's mission and adhere to AETC instructions.
Responsibilities
- Instructs students through assigned blocks of instruction at basic and/or advanced technical/administrative levels of faculty development instruction courses.
- Researches, develops, revises, and recommends updates to faculty development course materials in accordance with established learning objectives.
- Plans, develops, executes, and evaluates a comprehensive and effective training program.
- Maintains professional and technical proficiency and accomplishes special projects related to the specialty area, including staff surveillance visits to various training activities.
Requirements
- At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems, including teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment.
- Supervising or administering a training program; development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
- A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position.
- A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position.
