About the position

This position is located at Ft. Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the 'Wiregrass' area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun.

Responsibilities

• Conduct undergraduate and graduate student training for assigned Army Aviation Program of Instructions (POIs) as well as cockpit training.
• Serve as the UH-60 academic training instructor and develop program of Instructions, lesson plans, advance sheets and course material for the Aviation training program.
• Participate in courseware development and modification by using the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process.
• Monitor and evaluate progress in undergraduate and upper division undergraduate program courses in advanced technique systems.
• Serve as administrator on multiple government computer applications, servers, and learning management systems to deliver student courseware including conventional and automated assessments.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) of 5% business may be required.
• Position may require shift work and/or irregular work hours.
• Able to obtain and maintain Instructor Training Certification, Common Faculty Development per TRADOC Regulation 350-70 within six months of employment.
• Personnel who are assigned to a faculty position will recertify every five years per TRADOC Regulation 370-60.

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as adult education.
