About the position

The Training Instructor at Lyster Army Medical Center supports the Medical Treatment Facility by providing training to clinical staff on the use of medical systems for documenting patient care. This role involves coordinating training activities, delivering instructional material, and assisting in the resolution of functional issues related to clinical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform training duties associated with provider, nurse, medical technician/assistant, and clerical user access and use of the systems for documenting patient care.
• Provide basic level course instruction and material to clinical staff in a classroom setting.
• Coordinate activities with senior trainer and collect information from Enterprise Service Desk and clinical users to track trouble tickets and individual training requests.
• Answer incoming calls for assistance via telephone or electronic transmission, providing some functional issue resolution for supported personnel serviced.
• Assist the senior trainer in making necessary modifications to onsite training programs.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience demonstrating practical knowledge of the subject area and methods of instruction, including providing training on clinical systems such as electronic health records.
• Experience in a classroom-based training environment using audio/visual equipment.
• Coordination with leadership to determine training needs.
• Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's or equivalent graduate degree in education or a related field.
