About the position

The Training Program Manager at the Oregon Child & Family Center for Excellence is responsible for overseeing training and professional development projects aimed at improving the quality of life for children, youth, and families in Oregon. This role involves developing training plans, managing training projects, and ensuring that training curriculums meet the identified needs of the human service provider community. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an annual training plan with the CEO identifying training needs and curriculum.
  • Manage the development and coordination of training programs across Oregon.
  • Ensure training curriculums are in response to identified needs.
  • Supervise hiring staff and trainers, performance management, etc.
  • Provide supervision/coordination of the training-related duties of the Marketing & Communications Specialist, the Training Developer Specialist, and the Research & Policy Analyst.
  • Ensure compliance, prepare billings for contract agencies, and monitor payments.
  • Ensure contracts are developed and maintained with all subcontractors for training services.
  • Participate in project team meetings and all staff meetings.
  • Participate in community workgroup meetings as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with 3 years project management or training experience or bachelor's degree with 5 years project management or training experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Experience building positive relationships within teams and external parties.
  • Experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Efficient in Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in training curriculum development.
  • Ability to think strategically and anticipate future trends.
