About the position

The Training Specialist I role at Teachers Federal Credit Union involves conducting training programs and seminars, updating training materials, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives. The position requires collaboration with department managers to assess training needs and respond to employee inquiries, ensuring that staff are well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conducts job specific core training and skills-based trainings including eLearning.
• Consults with department managers to determine their training needs and recommends new training programs to the Training Supervisors.
• Recommends improvements to training programs and assists in developing and implementing them as directed.
• Responds to questions submitted by employees, conducts research, and contacts subject matter experts to ensure accurate responses.
• Utilizes a variety of training methods, techniques, and equipment (e.g., GoToMeeting, Zoom, Articulate, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Provides train-the-trainer support for new HR training specialists.
• Provides classroom setup and support for both in-person and virtual learning sessions.
• Keeps the Training Supervisors informed of activities, conditions, and issues.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Local travel may be required.

Requirements

• A two-year college degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a Teachers Branch, Call Center, or Lending environment, or other financial institution or corporate/educational training.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, financial banking policies, procedures, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with training methods and techniques is required.
• Strong oral/written communication, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, organizational, motivational, and multitasking skills.
