About the position

The Training Specialist/Lead Clinical Assistant will collaborate with leaders and managers to develop and implement high-quality training for the Patient Care Operations Team. This role focuses on enhancing individual performance through effective training programs, evaluating their effectiveness, and participating in New Employee Orientation. The position requires a strong background in clinical assistance and the ability to lead and motivate others.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leaders and managers to develop and implement training programs for the Patient Care Operations Team.
  • Participate in the analysis, design, development, and facilitation of training efforts.
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Assist with unit trainings and competencies as directed.
  • Participate in New Employee Orientation (NEO).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • AHA-BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Competency Based Orientation (CBO) proficiency of 80% or better in all Clinical Assistant job duties required.
  • Proven ability to follow departmental policies and procedures with no compliance issues in the last 12 months.
  • Previous preceptor experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of employment in a Clinical Assistant position.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards patient needs.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and coach individuals, maintain confidentiality, and work independently or as part of a team.
