About the position

The Training Specialist position is a senior-level role focused on providing mission-focused training and operations support to the National Capital Region - Integrated Air Defense System (NCR-IADS) Management & Integration Cell (MIC). The specialist will coordinate, set up, and conduct training during NCR-IADS events, supporting the Senior Aerospace Engineer team and assisting the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command's Center of Excellence. This role is critical for validating missile defense systems and ensuring operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct mission-focused training and operations for NCR-IADS events.
• Support the Senior Aerospace Engineer team with technical and training assistance.
• Understand and implement the mission of the Center of Excellence in relation to NCR-IADS.
• Respond flexibly and promptly to mission needs in a dynamic environment.
• Provide briefings and create event reports for peers and superiors.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Army and/or Joint programs and systems.
• Understanding of hardware and system requirements for NCR-IADS.
• Experience with Air and Missile Defense tactical system operations, including Sentinel Radar and FAAD.
• Proficiency in MS Office for planning and documentation purposes.
• Active Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with tactical data link networks, including Link-16 and RF protocols.
• Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Security +, Network +.
• Knowledge of US Army Air Defense Weapons Systems, including Avenger and Stinger.
• Documented experience with NCR-IADS system components.
