About the position

The Training Specialist position at the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is a full-time role focused on providing training services for Quick Start projects. The specialist will support various departmental operations, assist in training material development, and evaluate instructional service delivery under the supervision of the Director. This role requires extensive travel within northern Georgia and occasional travel outside the state and country.

Responsibilities

• Provide training services for Quick Start projects.
• Assist with training operations and perform training needs assessments.
• Develop training materials and instructional content.
• Design and build training devices.
• Evaluate and standardize business processes and tools for quality instructional service delivery.
• Assist the Director with special projects and prepare operations reports.
• Conduct training research.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in planning, developing, delivering, or evaluating training programs or academic instruction.
• Four years of experience delivering training that includes developing instructional materials and lesson plans.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in management, instructional technology, industrial technologies, or a related field.
• Three years of experience in a manufacturing training environment.
• Experience with instructional design methodology for manufacturing and large-scale distribution process training.
• Conducting training analysis and task analysis.
• Preparing technical equipment for training and configuring training material packages.
• Designing and building high-functioning training simulators and devices.
• Operation of multi-site training centers.
