About the position

The Training Technician (Office Automation) position at the Department of the Air Force serves as a centralized focal point for the commander, managing administrative controls to ensure the safety, security, well-being, and accountability of all basic military training trainees assigned to the squadron. The role involves monitoring daily operations, maintaining supply levels, and performing general clerical support work, while also representing the commander in decision-making situations based on policy guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report daily operations as Charge of Quarters (CQ).
  • Maintain stock levels for authorized supplies.
  • Perform document control work for processing supply transactions.
  • Manage facility operations and maintenance.
  • Provide general clerical support.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 level or equivalent in other pay systems.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures governing unit administrative operations.
  • Ability to evaluate program efficiency and implement improvements.
  • Familiarity with supply regulations and procedures.
