About the position
The Training Translation Editor is a crucial role within Airbnb's Community Support team, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality training materials in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. This position focuses on translating, localizing, and developing training content to ensure it is culturally relevant and accessible to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Translate training materials from English into Japanese, Korean, or Simplified Chinese.
- Review and edit machine translations for accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Tailor training content to match local cultures, including relevant visuals and examples.
- Collaborate with content designers to create engaging training materials and programs.
- Manage updates and requests for training programs, tracking changes and communicating updates with teams.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in translating, reviewing, or creating content, particularly in eLearning or instructor-led training environments.
- Fluent in English and native proficiency in either Japanese, Korean, or Simplified Chinese.
- Skilled in Articulate tools (Rise 360 and Storyline 360) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere).
- Experience with Translation Management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members from different cultures and time zones.
- Comfortable working on both Mac and Windows platforms and using Google Suite for collaborative work.
