About the position

As a Senior Transaction Manager at JLL, you will play a pivotal role in our Transaction Management team, which is dedicated to helping clients strategize, evaluate, and execute real estate transactions that align with their business needs. This position is particularly focused on managing and executing complex land transactions that support low carbon capital projects across the United States for a key client based in Spring, Texas. You will be embedded onsite with both the existing JLL team and the client's real estate group, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication. Reporting directly to the JLL Global Commercial Manager, you will also support the client's Commercial Portfolio Manager in managing an expanding portfolio that includes Hydrogen, Ammonia, and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) verticals. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client relationships and assuming key transaction responsibilities for strategic clients. Your expertise will be crucial in providing advice on client transactions, attending regular meetings, and improving transaction management processes. You will support, manage, and execute complex transactions with a high level of proficiency, ensuring adherence to both JLL's and the client's processes and standards. Your ability to think strategically and act proactively in a fast-paced environment will be essential for creating strong client trust and confidence. You will actively monitor the progress of assigned transactions, collect client requirements, and assist in site selection and evaluation. Your responsibilities will also include negotiating letters of intent, ground leases, option agreements, and purchase and sale agreements, as well as preparing approval packages for the client's senior management. Additionally, you will produce comparative financial analyses to aid in strategy development and decision-making, coordinate with the client's GIS team for customized maps and dashboards, and ensure the accuracy of commission invoices and transaction reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute complex land transactions for low carbon capital projects across the US.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic advice on transactions.
  • Attend regular client meetings and conference calls to discuss transaction progress.
  • Support and manage the execution of a large number of transactions annually.
  • Negotiate contracts including ground leases, option agreements, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Produce comparative financial analyses to support strategy development and decision-making.
  • Coordinate with the client's GIS team for customized mapping and reporting needs.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of assigned transactions to the management team.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 3-5+ years of transaction management experience, preferably with Fortune 500 companies.
  • Proven skills in negotiating contracts such as ground leases and purchase agreements.
  • Experience working with corporate clients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting impacts related to real estate transactions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate business intelligence and data analytics.
