About the position
The Transaction Tax Senior Associate at Weaver will be part of the Transaction Tax Advisory team, focusing on assisting private equity, strategic, and founder-owned clients with tax exposures and considerations throughout the transaction process. This role requires efficient work to gain technical tax knowledge and support clients in various M&A transactions, emphasizing research and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients in identifying potential tax exposures during M&A transactions.
- Conduct research on applicable tax laws and write memorandums in an understandable format.
- Manage multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity.
- Exhibit initiative and accept responsibility in a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in Accounting or JD/LLM.
- Experience conducting tax research.
- Excellent written communication skills.
