About the position

The Transfer Credit Analyst at San Jose State University is responsible for analyzing and encoding transfer credit rules in PeopleSoft programming. This role involves determining the validity of transfer credits through the review of articulation agreements and programming rules, ensuring accurate transfer credit application to student records. The Analyst must be knowledgeable about academic advising, admissions, and graduation policies, and will support both regularly enrolled students and SJSU Online recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate transfer credit analysis and encoding of articulation/transfer credit rules in PeopleSoft programming.
• Determine the validity of transfer credits by reviewing articulation agreements and programming rules.
• Apply transfer credit to student records based on analysis of articulation and updates for various databases.
• Conduct accuracy and error reporting to guide improvement planning.
• Serve as a point of contact for SJSU Online Enrollment Counselors and prospective students.

Requirements

• Understanding of Title 5, CSU/SJSU academic advising, admissions, and graduation policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of articulation and articulation data sites.
• Broad understanding of general education and course-to-course articulation requirements.
