Pasadena City College is seeking a Full-time, tenure-track Transfer/Honors Counselor to begin in the 2024-2025 academic year. Faculty at Pasadena City College are expected to actively participate in college-wide governance and the decision-making process, contributing to the overall success of the institution. As a Transfer/Honors Counselor, the incumbent will provide academic, career, and personal counseling to a diverse student population, particularly in the General Transfer and Honors Services area. Responsibilities include leading workshops, orientations, and application labs, presenting student success workshops, providing educational planning services, conducting transcript evaluations, and offering interventions for probationary and disqualified students. The counselor will also focus on the recruitment, retention, and transfer of low-income, first-generation Latinx and Black African American students, supporting initiatives that enhance their academic success.
