The Transformer Sales Manager at TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company is responsible for managing the sales activities of domestic sales, leading a sales team focused on Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Distributors, and National Accounts. This position requires a solid background in the industry, particularly in selling oil-filled transformers. The location for this role is negotiable, allowing for flexibility in the work environment. In this role, the manager will develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with corporate goals. They will direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly. The manager will also review market analyses to determine customer needs, pricing schedules, and discount rates. Additionally, they will oversee staffing, training, and performance management to develop and manage field sales personnel effectively. The Transformer Sales Manager will be responsible for directing channel development activities and coordinating sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. They will advise dealers, distributors, and clients on sales and advertising techniques, assign sales territories to company sales representatives, and analyze sales statistics to formulate policies that assist dealers in promoting sales. The manager will represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products and deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives. Maintaining relationships with key customers is a critical aspect of this role, as the manager will personally manage these relationships and assist sales representatives in negotiating and closing deals. The position also involves coordinating communication between the sales department and other sales-related units, presenting regional financials and strategies to the executive team, and promoting teamwork across different sales regions and with TECO-Westinghouse Motors in Mexico and Canada. The manager will analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements, oversee field sales offices, and assist other departments in preparing manuals and technical publications. They will prepare reports for product General Managers, monitor competitive activities, assist in customer invoice collection, and travel to Taiwan and Indonesia for customer factory visits. Regular attendance and compliance with company policies, including adherence to ISO 9001 Standards, are essential functions of this position.
