The Transformer Sales Manager is responsible for managing the sales activities of domestic sales, leading a sales team focused on Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Distributors, and National Accounts. This position requires a solid background in the industry, particularly in selling oil-filled transformers. The location for this role is negotiable, allowing for flexibility in the work environment. The primary objective of the Transformer Sales Manager is to develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with corporate goals, ensuring that the sales team meets performance targets and effectively addresses customer needs. In this role, the manager will direct sales forecasting activities, set performance goals, and review market analyses to determine customer needs, pricing schedules, and discount rates. The Transformer Sales Manager will also oversee staffing, training, and performance management of field sales personnel, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to meet sales objectives. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for channel development activities, coordinating sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. The position involves advising dealers, distributors, and clients on sales and advertising techniques, assigning sales territories to company sales representatives, and analyzing sales statistics to formulate policies that assist dealers in promoting sales. The Transformer Sales Manager will represent the company at trade association meetings, deliver sales presentations to key clients, and maintain relationships with key customers. This role requires regular attendance and compliance with all company policies, including adherence to ISO 9001 standards and maintaining a drug-free workplace. The manager will also be expected to incorporate the Standards of Excellence outlined by TWMC into daily activities, promoting a culture of quality and commitment to excellence.
