About The Position
The Transit Director of Safety & Security is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and the public within Broward County's transportation system. Reporting directly to the Chief Safety and Security Officer (CSSO), this role involves developing, overseeing, and directing safety and security policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and implementing necessary remedies. The director will also track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze trends, and formulate strategies for improvement, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
