About the position

The Transit-Rail Senior Project Manager at AECOM is responsible for leading and executing significant transit-rail projects, including various forms of rail and bus rapid transit systems. This role involves establishing relationships with local agencies, managing large client accounts, and ensuring the successful delivery of major infrastructure programs within budget and schedule constraints. The position aims to enhance AECOM's reputation as a leading transportation consultant by delivering high-quality project management and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of significant transit-rail projects including light rail, heavy rail subway, commuter rail, high-speed rail, and bus rapid transit.
  • Establish relationships with LA Metro and other local agencies in the City of LA.
  • Act as a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients, promoting AECOM's values internally and externally.
  • Manage and prepare transit-rail project teams effectively.
  • Oversee large client account management and mega-project pursuits.
  • Interact directly with major clients and collaborate with external contractors/consultants.

Requirements

  • BA/BS and 12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership.
  • BS in Civil Engineering preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience leading engineering projects with mega-project management.
  • Civil Engineer with PE license in California.
  • Ability to scope/estimate complex projects.
  • Experience in tracking and managing task budgets and schedules.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills for client interaction.
  • Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams.

Nice-to-haves
