Transit Tech Project Manager

About the position

This position involves leading a complex, multi-year implementation of transit payment technology, including both physical equipment and software. The role requires strong project management skills and personal interactions with various stakeholders, necessitating a hybrid work environment with flexibility to work from home while also attending in-person meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of transit payment technology projects.
• Manage multiple phases and cutovers of the project, ensuring all dependencies are executed flawlessly.
• Engage with stakeholders to facilitate communication and project updates.
• Coordinate with software development teams and field engineering colleagues to deliver project objectives.
• Utilize subject matter experts to assist in estimating tasks and deliverables.

Requirements

• PMP Certification (or PRINCE2) is contractually mandated.
• 5-10 years of project management experience, with at least one project exceeding $10M in total value.
• Must reside within a 1.5-hour commute of Baltimore, MD.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with public transportation agency technology implementations in transit, airport, port, DOT, roadway, tolling, etc.
