About the position

The Knowledge Transfer Manager at Peraton will lead the Knowledge Transfer (KT) component of the Peraton Transition Methodology (PTM) for federal agency clients. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful transfer of knowledge from incumbent contractors to support teams and end users, facilitating smooth post-transition operations. The manager will guide the development and implementation of strategies for capturing, sharing, and managing knowledge during transitions across various public sector departments and agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and conduct workshops upon contract award to guide transition stakeholders on the Knowledge Transfer framework.
  • Develop and implement knowledge transfer strategies on assigned transitions using the established Knowledge Transfer framework.
  • Establish and enforce rules of engagement for KT stakeholders to interact, resolve conflict, and support the knowledge transfer strategy.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts from Peraton, the outgoing contractor, and government organizations to mitigate knowledge loss through the capture of critical knowledge.
  • Manage communication between Peraton, incumbent contractor, and federal clients, providing regular updates on KT status, risks, and milestones.
  • Monitor KT progress, identify deviations from the task area KT Plans, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge transfer initiatives during transitions through metric collection and measurement.
  • Maintain a knowledge repository and ensure it is up-to-date and easily accessible to all stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration to promote knowledge sharing among organizations.
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices, lessons learned, and innovative solutions in established Knowledge Transfer programs.
  • Collaborate with transition stakeholders to establish transition acceptance criteria to support operational readiness prior to assuming responsibility for transitioning services.
  • Conduct Lessons Learned sessions to capture and share knowledge about the transition's successes and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide a focused effort toward continuous process improvement utilizing information captured through Lessons Learned sessions.

Requirements

  • BS/BA and 12 years of experience, MS/MA and 10 years, or Ph.D. and 7 years of project management experience, including 4 years of transition knowledge management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in supporting large scale federal program transitions or start-ups following contract award, including relevant transition experience within the last 2 years.
  • Ability to travel CONUS or OCONUS (as needed) to provide on-site support during critical phases of the transition process.
  • Strong understanding of knowledge management principles and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and best practices.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills while collaborating within complex cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical aptitude and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Current/Active Secret Security Clearance or higher.
