About the position
The Transitional Mathematics Adjunct Instructor position at Aiken Technical College is a part-time, temporary role focused on teaching mathematics courses. The instructor will be responsible for delivering instruction, managing the classroom, and performing administrative tasks related to course preparation and maintenance. This role is essential for supporting students in their mathematical studies and ensuring that courses are taught in accordance with established syllabi.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in mathematics, including hands-on and theoretical components.
- Manage classroom activities and student supervision.
- Develop and maintain current course syllabi for the courses taught.
- Ensure adherence to established syllabi during course delivery.
- Recommend instructional materials and laboratory facilities for the course.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and mathematics teaching and/or tutoring experience for MAT 032.
- Bachelor's degree with significant mathematics content and teaching/tutoring experience for MAT 101 & 102.
