About the position
The Transmission Contractor Oversight position at ECF Engineering Consultants involves leading and overseeing construction projects related to transmission lines. The role requires significant experience in the power delivery industry, specifically in transmission line construction, and entails ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations while managing various construction tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform the role of a Construction Lead / Oversight for Transmission Projects.
- Manage major site development tasks including right of way construction, site clearing, trenching, and installation of foundations.
- Ensure compliance with Utility, State & Local environmental practices and policies.
- Oversee pole setting, including direct embed and poured foundation for concrete, wood, and steel poles.
- Conduct wire pulling for single/multi conductor, overhead ground wire, and overhead fiber installation.
- Manage conductor transfer and installation of guying and associated anchors.
- Oversee installation of underbuilt distribution on transmission structures.
- Develop advanced rigging and lift plans.
- Identify and perform OSHA Lock-out / Tag-out when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Transmission Lines (Power Delivery Industry).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
