About the position

The Transmission Line Project Engineer will work remotely in the Greater Denver, CO area, contributing to electric transmission line design projects for extra high-voltage systems. This role involves engaging in the early stages of project development, applying engineering standards, and collaborating with a dynamic team to solve complex challenges in the infrastructure industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an Engineer on electric transmission line design projects for EHV overhead and underground systems.
  • Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other applicable standards in engineering and design.
  • Perform engineering analyses and prepare bidding documents.
  • Draft plans and specifications for projects.
  • Prepare material procurement and construction documents.
  • Interface with clients and collaborate with project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems.
  • PE certification desired.
  • Experience using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER.
  • Experience using LPILE or MFAD.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus.
