About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Standards Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: Transmission Lines, Civil/Structural Engineering, Foundations and Framing, or Environmental Engineering in the power generation field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and update engineering standards and specifications to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure standards are integrated into project designs and implementations.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and provide recommendations for materials, methods, and practices.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with environmental regulations and sustainability goals.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure standards remain relevant and effective.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience developing standards in the power utilities field.
  • Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: Transmission Lines, Civil/Structural Engineering, Foundations and Framing, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
