About the position
The Transport Aide position at Medicalodges involves safely transporting residents and assisting with their care. This role is essential for ensuring that residents receive high-quality care during transportation and while at the facility. The position requires a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and emphasizes professionalism and communication with both residents and office staff.
Responsibilities
- Transporting residents in a safe and professional manner.
- Keeping the vehicles and equipment maintained, ensuring that the vehicle has all necessary supplies.
- Completion of shift forms and advising the office of any changes in shift schedule or patient care.
- Communicating with the office to receive relevant data and instructions.
- Maintaining professional behavior and attitudes towards customers, visitors, and coworkers.
- Completing vehicle maintenance inspections prior to daily vehicle usage for safe and comfortable patient transport.
- Providing assistance with resident care within the facility and during outings when not providing transportation.
- Assisting with transferring and balancing patients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D certificate
- N.A. certificate in good standing
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Current and valid driver's license in appropriate State
- Pass the company required motor vehicle background check and other State relevant background checks
- Verbal and written communication skills
