About the position

The Transport Customs and Logistics Process Manager at Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of the Transport Customs and Logistics (TC&L) department. This role involves managing daily performance, coordinating logistics plans, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving cost management initiatives. The manager will also utilize technology to optimize operations and monitor key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement TC&L plans for timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in transportation activities.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation, including shipping records and bills of lading.
  • Address and resolve issues or disruptions in the logistics process.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce transportation and logistics costs without compromising service quality.
  • Use logistics and transportation management software to track shipments and optimize operations.
  • Implement environmentally friendly logistics practices to minimize carbon footprint.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency and effectiveness of TC&L operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain coordination.
  • Experience with a production assembly environment.
  • Experience in planning and resource management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a transverse and multi-cultural environment.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; Spanish and French are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and technical.
  • High level of attention to detail and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Proven experience managing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
