About the position

The Lot/Transport Driver at ADESA is responsible for operating motor vehicles for transport, pickup, and delivery in support of auction activities. This part-time role involves safely moving, staging, and parking vehicles to facilitate the flow of vehicles for car auctions, ensuring compliance with driving rules and demonstrating courteous driving principles.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor vehicles on and off the premises for transport, pickup, and delivery.
• Safely move, stage, and park vehicles in the correct lot area to support auction activities.
• Drive assigned vehicles through auction lanes on sale day.
• Verify VIN of cars being picked up and delivered against transportation requests.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the Lot Manager or designated supervisor.
• Inflate tires and jump-start vehicles using a battery box and air tank if necessary.
• Fill the gas tank when the vehicle is out of gas.
• Assist customers such as dealers, account reps, and co-workers as needed.
• Perform walk-around inspections of each vehicle prior to moving and note any damage.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to work outdoors under any type of weather conditions.
