Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and control the shipment of materials and equipment.
• Provide status updates, resolve problems, and prepare reports regarding shipments.
• Determine the most efficient and economical routes for domestic and export shipments.
• Plan shipping dates, material pickup, and loading times for equipment and materials.
• Prepare shipment documentation, including for hazardous materials.
• Provide traffic management support through selection and procurement of carriers.
• Advise and assist customers on all aspects of transportation functions.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in federal service or related experience in the private sector.
• Experience providing administrative support services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work in a changing environment.
• Experience in gathering and interpreting information for problem-solving.
