About the position

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a talented CAD Designer to join their Transportation and Infrastructure Unit, specifically within the Bridge Design group. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, focusing on developing CAD skills while managing project tasks and deadlines. The position allows for remote or hybrid work options, catering to a variety of work preferences.

Responsibilities

• Develop CAD designs for transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Manage personal tasks and adhere to project deadlines and scope.
• Perform self-reviews of work and correct errors before submission.
• Communicate effectively with the design team and mentor lower-level CAD staff.
• Review project work and ensure compliance with corporate and group standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in CAD design, specifically with AutoCad and Bentley projects.
• Associate degree from an accredited Technical School or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with 2D and 3D workspace in CAD software.
• Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in mentoring lower-level CAD operators.
• Advanced knowledge of geospatial relationships.
