About the position
The Transportation Construction Inspector position is a full-time role focused on the inspection of materials used in construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality control plans. This position offers an opportunity to work outside the traditional office environment, contributing to the integrity of infrastructure projects in the community.
Responsibilities
- Inspect materials generated at asphalt, concrete, and aggregate facilities.
- Verify compliance of materials with established specifications and contractual agreements.
- Conduct meticulous evaluations and assessments of materials to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain quality assurance throughout the production process.
Requirements
- One year as an Engineering Technician or equivalent experience.
- Two years as a Transportation Technician or Construction Cost Technician 1.
- Three years of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work.
- Three years of experience in quality control of materials or related construction industry experience.
- One year of construction inspection experience with an associate's degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Possession of an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics.
