About the position

The Transportation Coordinator/Office Assistant at St. Vincent de Paul Green Bay is a full-time role focused on managing the scheduling and coordination of donation pickup services, invoicing for shipments, and providing excellent customer service. The position involves assisting with various office tasks and supporting the HR Director and Business Development team as needed, all while promoting the mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage the scheduling and coordination of the donation pickup service.
• Invoice for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and community members via phone and email.
• Assist the front office Administrative Support Coordinator with projects.
• Back-up for the main phone switchboard and perform general light cleaning of the office.
• Assist in mapping routes for Truck Drivers and Truck Helpers.
• Maintain records of donation pickups, deliveries, and receipts.
• Schedule delivery of recyclables and disposal of scrap items.
• Order bulk supplies for distribution to stores as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a business office atmosphere.
• Basic knowledge of computer skills, particularly Microsoft 365 and Outlook.
• Knowledge of standard office equipment such as copiers and phone systems.
• Ability to understand, read, and write English fluently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service within the transportation or trucking industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong math skills.
