About the position
The Transportation Coordinator at Vitality Living Springdale is responsible for safely transporting residents to various destinations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining the vehicle's condition. This part-time role emphasizes the importance of creating meaningful experiences for residents and requires a commitment to safe driving practices.
Responsibilities
- Drives vehicle from community to social and other destinations according to assigned schedule.
- Practices safe driving techniques, adheres to posted speed limits, and follows state guidelines for motor vehicle operation at all times.
- Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trips.
- Documents all damages to company vehicles, including accidents, dents, natural wear and tear, etc.
- Cleans interior and exterior of vehicle after each outing and ensures adequate fuel levels.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record that meets company insurance standards.
- Commercial driver's license (CDL) designation may be required if driving vehicles with a capacity of more than 15 passengers.
- Working knowledge of all motor vehicle safety precautions and compliance with safety measures.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
