About the position

The Transportation Coordinator at Clarendon Early Education Services, Inc. is responsible for supporting the Transportation Manager in daily operations related to the transportation of children. This role involves managing dispatch, supervising drivers, and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the transportation process. The coordinator will also handle compliance with regulations and assist in training and development for drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Transportation Manager with daily department operations including dispatch and supervision of drivers.
  • Provide morning and afternoon dispatch coverage for all 7D Transportation Providers across all service delivery areas.
  • Notify drivers, parents, educators, and schools with accurate information regarding scheduled pick-ups, drop-offs, and changes to existing schedules.
  • Maintain weekly/daily communication with drivers, parents, educators, and financial assistance subsidy and childcare management teams.
  • Ensure each driver has updated route sheets and child data forms in a timely manner each week.
  • Document and submit all incidents, complaints, and reports regarding transportation to the Transportation Manager within twenty-four hours.
  • Report all safety violations or concerns on any vehicle providing services to CEES to the Transportation Department immediately.
  • Act as night and weekend emergency contact for all transportation-related calls.
  • Report to Regional Directors on issues related to family childcare operations.
  • Assist with the development of an annual training calendar for drivers and participate in scheduled driver meetings and trainings.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations and guidelines pertinent to the transportation of children in Massachusetts.
  • Ensure compliance with all CEES policy and procedure as outlined in CEES' Transportation Manual and Safety Oversight Plan.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience in the field of transportation of children or alternate transportation dispatch experience.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • 7D certified a plus.
  • Computer proficiency in Word Processing and data entry software.
