About the position

The Transportation Coordinator at Northcrest Community is responsible for managing and coordinating all transportation activities for residents in a vibrant retirement community. This role includes leading a team of part-time drivers, ensuring safe and efficient transportation for medical appointments, outings, and events, while also overseeing fleet management and driver training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day driver for residents to medical appointments, outings, and events.
  • Lead a team of part-time drivers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement a driver orientation and training program.
  • Manage and coordinate the transportation schedule to meet the needs of residents and the Community Life Director for social events and outings.
  • Oversee fleet management of company-owned vehicles, including maintenance and DOT inspections.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • College degree in Transportation and Logistics preferred but not required.
  • Clean driving record and successful background check (completed during pre-hire process).
  • CDL with Passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire (must be able to pass medical evaluation).
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Professional with a dedication to excellent service.
