About the position

The Transportation Customer Service Representative at Onewaytrailers is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers and motor carriers. This role involves managing trailer postings, conducting outbound sales calls, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while working collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage trailer postings, lists, quoting, and releases.
  • Conduct outbound calls to build the customer base.
  • Build solid relationships with trailer owners.
  • Increase revenue and maximize margin in a transportation brokerage.
  • Demonstrate the ability to carry on business conversations with business owners and decision makers.
  • Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects.
  • Develop a database of qualified leads through various channels.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.
  • Ensure high levels of carrier satisfaction through regular contact with motor carriers.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of customer service experience preferable.
  • 1+ years of experience in the transportation industry preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills in person, over the telephone, and in writing.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of the trucking and 3PL industry is preferred but training is available.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
