About the position
The Transportation Delivery Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading a team to ensure the timely and complete delivery of orders within the Staples supply chain. This role involves strategic planning to meet operational goals, collaborating with senior management, and fostering a safety culture while achieving performance metrics related to productivity and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team to ensure timely and complete delivery of all orders.
- Prepare and plan strategies to meet daily, weekly, and monthly operational goals.
- Collaborate with senior management to pursue operational excellence.
- Make recommendations and improvements to department processes and procedures.
- Participate in the hiring, training, and coaching of associates.
- Use operational reports to evaluate department performance and ensure expectations are met.
- Ensure safe work practices and foster a safety culture.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of transportation experience.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Must obtain a 6-month DOT medical card specific to the role.
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull or carry product up to 70 pounds by hand.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
