About the position

The Transportation Dispatcher will coordinate the safe and efficient transportation of goods and services, manage drivers, ensure timely deliveries, and handle customer inquiries. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule deliveries and pick-ups efficiently, ensuring on-time performance and optimal routes.
• Assign and track routes, ensuring drivers have necessary information for safe and timely deliveries.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and the company, providing real-time updates and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, driver hours, and vehicle status.
• Address customer concerns and provide solutions for transportation-related issues or delays.
• Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
• Resolve issues related to routes, schedules, or customer concerns in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience utilizing Road-Net software.
• 3-5 years experience in a dispatcher, logistics, or transportation-related role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or transportation preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with dispatching software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
